	In circulation now is the 7-th issue of banknotes (1999).
	All previous 6 issues (1967-1998) are redeemable at the Bank.
	The 6-th issue is very similar to the 7-th, but was withdrawn from circulation in June 1999. The language order on the 7-th is English-Tamil-Hindi instead of English-Hindi-Tamil.
