The ‘Central Bank of Ireland’ is currently accepting all Irish banknotes at its counters and will give value up to £3,000 (ˆ3,800) per transaction. Where the amount to be exchanged is greater than £3,000, the value will be lodged to the specified bank account. If the bank account is held outside of Ireland, IBAN details are needed. The Bank is also accepting all Irish coin at its counters and will give value immediately for amounts up to £500 (ˆ635) per transaction. Where the amount is greater than £500, value will be lodged to the specified bank account. If the account is held outside of Ireland, IBAN details are needed. The coins must be separated and bagged - look at the table on the left. Any remaining coin that do not amount to a full bag can still be exchanged once they are separated and bagged. |
